I played like maybe 10 lives, got to max level 100 and my score was 40100. Some random bits of feedback for the current version:
The difficulty ramp from level 1 to 2 is very drastic.
The game is most fun late-game even though it is harder. All the cool enemies start appearing.
Magenta enemy (sniper) is too damn strong, it requires so much precision early game to avoid it but when you're fast they're still tough but at least a bit more fair.
The magenta enemies look like arrows so it looks like they're gonna shoot the opposite way, I appreciate the simple shapes but this one genuinely confused me, not an issue once I figured that out.
Did not find the lv100 secret weapon and I'm convinced I was bamboozled (still had fun though)
The super shot could use a sound or visual effect for when it's recharged 'cuz it gets too hectic to look at the bar unless you're consciously thinking about it
The readability of the enemies and bullets and stuff is kinda tough. Like on endless level the red blends in w/ the regular soldier enemies. The size of them also just makes it kinda hard to see. IDK what to do other than maybe bigger sprite or an outline or something
The speed up lvl up effect actually kills the speed boost power up and downgrades you instead of adding, feel like this is a bug rather than intended behavior
Cool Wind Waker smoke bomb effect on the enemy spawns, subtle but it fits
Machine gunner and Tank are the most fun enemies combined w/ the regular soldier
