Controls:

TAB settings menu

WASD to move.

Left Click - Shoot.

Right Click - Super Shooting destroys all enemies in one shot. Good against Machine Gunner

REBIRTH

Every 15 levels,  get a rebirth token and defy death. Doing so makes you invincible and clears all enemies on board.

Power Ups:

Speed Boots - Increase movement speed

Fire Fist - Damage up and Rapid Fire.

Magnet - Pulls all coins to you

Gold - Score Up.

Heart - Heals you.

Enemies: 

There are currently seven enemies:

Soldier, Sniper, Combust, Machine Gun, Tank, Trapzium, Double Barrel.

The Soldier is a normal ranged enemy with moderate damage.

Double Barrel is the soldier, but with.. Double-barreled.

The Sniper is a far-range enemy with moderate damage.

The Combust is an average speed enemy that does a lot of damage when contacted.  Make sure you keep your eyes peeled.

The Machine Gunner enemy is a low-health, high-shooting-speed, low-damage enemy. More of a stage Hazard

Trapezium spawns and sets down other small versions that do damage to you. Literal Stage Hazer

The Tank enemy has a lot of health and high-damaging rounds, but lacks speed. Is more of a common mini-boss.

Nice and smooth gameplay!

Hey cool to see the project come to life. 

I played like maybe 10 lives, got to max level 100 and my score was 40100. Some random bits of feedback for the current version:

  • The difficulty ramp from level 1 to 2 is very drastic.
  • The game is most fun late-game even though it is harder. All the cool enemies start appearing.
  • Magenta enemy (sniper) is too damn strong, it requires so much precision early game to avoid it but when you're fast they're still tough but at least a bit more fair.
  • The magenta enemies look like arrows so it looks like they're gonna shoot the opposite way, I appreciate the simple shapes but this one genuinely confused me, not an issue once I figured that out. 
  • Did not find the lv100 secret weapon and I'm convinced I was bamboozled (still had fun though)
  • The super shot could use a sound or visual effect for when it's recharged 'cuz it gets too hectic to look at the bar unless you're consciously thinking about it
  • The readability of the enemies and bullets and stuff is kinda tough. Like on endless level the red blends in w/ the regular soldier enemies. The size of them also just makes it kinda hard to see. IDK what to do other than maybe bigger sprite or an outline or something
  • The speed up lvl up effect actually kills the speed boost power up and downgrades you instead of adding, feel like this is a bug rather than intended behavior
  • Cool Wind Waker smoke bomb effect on the enemy spawns, subtle but it fits
  • Machine gunner and Tank are the most fun enemies combined w/ the regular soldier
